Ana Muñoz was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. She
spent her childhood between Southern California and Durango, Mexico as her
family moved back and forth. She went to high school in Southern California in
the Los Angeles area. After attending several community colleges in California,
she moved to Oregon where she attended Chemeketa Community College and received
her Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer Degree. Muñoz then transferred to Western
Oregon University and received a B.A. and a Masters in Education. At the time
of the interview she was the Director of Community Engagement and Leadership at
Latino Network and was completing a degree with SOU/Universidad Autónoma de
Guanajuato for a MAT in Spanish Teaching.
