In the Leadership Update, Vice Provost Scott Reed shared updates about federal and state appropriations; OSU Transfer initiative to improve transfer enrollment (in an incubation stage; initially known as the Gateway program), Carnegie Foundation for Community Engagement re-classification, OSU Day of Giving (now known as DAM Proud Day), and more were discussed. Kathleen Kavanagh, associate dean of research for the College of Forestry brought us up to date on the Elliott State Research Forest Feasibility Study. Meredith Morrice, strategic engagement manager, shared an update on the Outdoor Recreation Economy Initiative, also in an incubation stage.
