A lecture by author Gore Vidal presented at the LaSells Stewart Center on the campus of Oregon State University. Sponsored by the OSU Center for the Humanities, Vidal's presentation was the final installment in a series of talks delivered by multiple speakers in April and May 1987, and commenting on the bicentennial of the United States Constitution. His remarks were preceded by introductions from Peter Copek, who was the head of the OSU Center for the Humanities, and OSU history professor William Appleman Williams.
