Mixed sound footage of grape harvesting and winemaking processes at Hillcrest Vineyard near Roseburg, Oregon. The footage includes scenes of the vineyard itself, harvesting grapes by hand, loading and moving grapes out of the vineyard and into the winery, mechanized crushing and treatment for fermentation, juicing into wine barrels, mechanized decanting into wine bottles, corking and sealing bottles, and a wine judging event held at a Knights of the Wine Table gathering. The film's audio component consists of winery founder Richard Sommner commenting on his choice of location and grapes grown based on the area's climate, soils and topography.
Digitized from a film original held in the Extension and Experiment Station Communications Moving Images (FV120:076), Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries.
