As we have seen from national and local events over the last year, we
are in the midst of a social justice crisis that is disadvantaging whole
sectors of our society. As citizens, residents and community members, we
can be instrumental in implementing real change; as educators, if we commit
ourselves to modeling equity and challenging discrimination, we have a chance
to shape the underlying assumptions of the next generation.
Discussion Prompt #1:
We want to strive to build a college community that is
more inclusive of all its members. First,
we need to define what we mean by that.

- What are one or two specific
and tangible practices you can think of that would help us achieve this goal?

What resources do we need as a community to make this a
