Betty Hawthorne (1920-1990) was a faculty member in Foods and Nutrition at Oregon State from 1946-1983, and served as OSU's Dean of Home Economics from from 1965 until her retirement from the university in 1983. In this lecture and Q&A session, she discusses the history and evolution of home economics as a discipline nation-wide.
