The "Miss OSU 1989 for MDA Pageant" was held during Dads Weekend in the LaSells Stewart Center on February 25, 1989. It was sponsored by Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity as a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Participants competed in three categories: an evening gown competition, a talent competition, and a bathing suit competition. The event also included remarks by event co-organizer Jeanne Anderson and MDA representative, Connie King.
