Leslie Aigner,
Czech by birth, moved to Budapest in 1943. In July 1944, he and two siblings
were taken by cattle-car to Auschwitz. He was later transferred to Dachau,
where he was liberated in 1945. Eva was born in Budapest and experienced much
of the wartime horror there. Struggling with these memories, the Aigners
remained silent for forty years before sharing their experiences publicly.
