A mostly silent film that depicts a variety of recreational activities on what had once been farmland. Activities shown include fishing, swimming, target shooting, tossing horseshoes, canoeing and purchasing food from a snack bar. The film also includes scenes of landscaping, planting ferns and watering hanging flower baskets as well as showing flowers and vegetables at the state fair. A sign reading "Regional Park and Recreation Agency, Marion County/Polk County, City of Salem" is also included. The footage concludes with a brief audio segment of cows and calves being shown at the state fair.
