Cynthia Ramirez was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She attended Willamette University and was a member and eventually co-president of the Alianza Club which educated the community about Latina/o culture. After graduating from Willamette University she began working as a member of the electoral team for Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste for the 2020 election. At the time of the interview she was the Advocacy Advisor for PCUN.
