Presented by KGW-TV News, "Oregon Sea Trail" tells the story of how Oregon Sea Grant and Oregon State University sought to improve sustainable uses of ocean resources off of the Oregon Coast. The film includes interviews with OSU graduate students and faculty members including Bill Wick, George Beardsley and Wilbur Breese, as well as OSU President James Jensen and Garibaldi fisherman Frank Bohannon, and features scenes of the R/V Cayuse and R/V Yaquina at sea. Topics discussed include work on water temperature recorders, maritime physics, ocean pollution, marine parasites, aquaculture and estuaries ecology. The film also highlights the career of OSU Oceanography professor, Wayne Burt.
