Prepared activity kits can help take the stress and guesswork out of deciding what to do at the Master Gardener table for the wide variety of events volunteers appear at. Complete with detailed instructions, variations for different age/skill levels, and flexibility for the presenters to adapt them to their own interests, we’ve designed these activity kits to make volunteering more fun and less confusing. As we describe the various kits we keep on hand, our Activity Kits Open House, and how new activity kits are chosen, we hope it will spark ideas for activities you can try in your own community.
Presenter: Nicole Sanchez, Master Gardener volunteer coordinator in Klamath County, has been delivering horticulture training and “edutainment” in the Klamath community for ten years, and has nearly forty years of horticulture experience. Caroline Crawford has experience in education programming for both children and adults and has been serving as Education Program Assistant in Klamath County since 2024.
