Title: CommunityBridge Project - Adrianna Marlen - First-Generation College Student
Interview Details: Adrianna Marlen answers short questions
regarding her experience as a first-generation Latina college (transfer)
student attending Oregon State University. Adrianna is also the creator of the
CommunityBridge Project, in which she started towards the end of her
Undergraduate experience at OSU. She has now completed the project for her MAIS
Thesis Project. Interviewed by Grace Whitley in April
2022, in the OSU’s Multimedia Services (Photo & Video Studio).
Project Description:
CommunityBridge was a project created by OSU MAIS graduate student
Adrianna Marlen meant to "help support underrepresented,
first-generation and
transfer students groups at Oregon State University" by "display[ing]
crucial non-profit and university student resources into one easily
accessible website." As part of this project, Marlen collected short
interviews with OSU students, faculty, and community members that spoke
to their experiences as first-generation college students and the
resources offered by various campus programs.
