A silent film depicting two snow surveyors navigating the high Cascades on skis and taking snowpack measurements in the late 1930s. The fil film includes intertitles that tell the story of "Jack and Bill" as they go about their work. Scenes include preparations made for the trip, traveling to the high mountains, waxing skis and following trail markers mounted on trees, lodging in a cabin that is partially buried in snow, and logging snowpack measurements at specific designated locations.
