Bernice Johnson was interviewed in 1993 by members of the Black History Club at Jefferson Middle School for the "Matriarchs of the Eugene Black Community Interviewing Project." These interviews are a component of the Oregon Black Pioneers Oral History Collection (OH 042), which is housed in the Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries.
