Gender expression and identity contribute significantly to how folks within the LGBTQ+ community are seen or not seen. In this session, you will learn more about how our society’s rigid gender “rules” contribute to homophobia, transphobia and often a lack of safety for many LGBTQ+ people of all ages. Through engaging storytelling and reflective activities, you will leave this training session not only with more insight into the complexity of the LGBTQ+ community, but hopefully, also questioning the validity of the gender binary system.
