The Provost's Lecture featuring Céline Cousteau was the second event in the 2024-25 series. She visited Oregon State University for her lecture on March 10, 2025. Cousteau is an environmental activist, filmmaker, and author. Her lecture entitled, "We are One Human Tribe" will document the intersection of nature and humans, revealing the psychological aspects of our innate connection to the world. Following the lecture, Céline Cousteau sat for a moderated Q&A with Michael Nelson, professor of environmental ethics and philosophy in the College of Forestry and director of the Center for the Future of Forests and Society.
