Virgil Avery was the grandson of Joseph Conant Avery, who founded the city of Corvallis, Oregon. He was interviewed by Judy Carlson for the Oregon Pioneers Oral History Collection (OH 01), Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries.
