In head coach Jay John's first year leading the OSU men's basketball program, the Beavers compiled a record of 13-15. Philip Ricci, Brian Jackson, Jimmie Haywood and Lamar Hurd were the team's standout players, statistically. Led by guard Leilani Estevan and forward Hollye Chapman, the OSU women's squad posted a record of 15-15 and made a third consecutive appearance in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
