In this iteration of the Civil War football match-up, the Beavers and the Ducks played to a 14-14 tie. Ranked #11 heading into the game, Oregon State concluded this season with an appearance in the Rose Bowl, where they lost to Iowa on January 1, 1957.
This game was originally recorded to motion picture film and was transferred to Betacam SP in the 1980s. The footage presented here represents a digital migration of that Betacam cassette. The original cassette is held in the KEZI Sports Videotapes (FV 329:002), Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries.
