Contested on a chilly night at Reser Stadium, the Beavers soundly defeated #20 USC by a score of 36-7. The victory marked OSU's third straight home victory over the Trojans, coming on the heels of wins in 2006 and 2008. Running back Jacquizz Rodgers led the Beavers with 128 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Quarterback Ryan Katz threw for two additional scores. The play of the game was provided at the beginning of the second quarter by OSU cornerback Jordan Poyer, who intercepted USC's Matt Barkley and ran the ball back 65 yards for a touchdown.
