Carl Merryman, a life-long Corvallis resident, earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education in 1934. In this, the first of two interviews, Merryman discusses his family background, upbringing in Corvallis, and particular memories of a visit to Corvallis by a traveling circus.
