Dr. Kennedy Reed, a theoretical physicist for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, presents a lecture on "The Growth of Physics in Africa." He shares his experiences working as a visiting scientist in African universities where he and others promoted collaborations that connect African scientists and institutions with their counterparts in developed countries, including the United States. These interactions are not only important to science and technology development in Africa, but are also extremely beneficial for scientist in other regions.
