In what turned out to be head coach Eddie Payne's final season in charge of the Beavers, the OSU men's basketball team logged a season record of 13-16, with five victories in conference. Though a disappointing year overall, the Beavers did defeat #3 Arizona in overtime by a score of 70-69. Junior guard Deaundra Tanner, whose three-pointer at the buzzer beat Arizona, led the team in scoring at 14.2 points per game. Freshman forward Brian Jackson averaged 12.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game as well.
