In Gary Payton's senior year at Oregon State, the Beavers finished as co-champions of the Pac-10 conference, compiling a record of 22-7 on the year. In addition to Payton, who average nearly 26 points and 8 assists per game, the team was led by senior forward Earl Martin, junior guard Will Brantley and junior forward Teo Alibegovic, as well as new head coach Jimmy Anderson.
