OSU won this iteration of the Civil War handily, defeating the Ducks by a score of 50-21. Beaver quarterback Derek Anderson, playing in his final home game, tallied 351 yards passing and four touchdowns in the victory. Wide receiver Mike Hass caught nine passes for 154 yards, and defensive end Bill Swancutt had a huge day on defense and on special teams, catching a 17-yard pass on a fake field goal. Oregon State finished this season with a record of 7-5, defeating Notre Dame in the Insight Bowl on December 28, 2004.
