This video gives the market perspective in regards to organic food. The unidentified speaker is an employee of Nature’s, an organic produce market in Beaverton, Oregon. The company began in 1969, providing tools for the small scale hobby farmer as well as organic fruits and vegetables. The company had expanded to four stores, working on a fifth at the time of this taping. The speaker largely focuses on how the organic market has expanded. He also talks about transitional farming and the lack of desire organic markets have for produce from a farm in transition.
Digitized from a Umatic original held in the Oregon Tilth Records (MSS OrTilth), Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries. Original tape is labeled "Tilth Documentary 10."
