Bob Nye is a historian of ideas who has written on the history of sociology, the history of medicine and the history of sexuality, specializing in modern Europe. From 1994-2007 he served as Horning Professor of the Humanities - a chair that he shared with his wife, Mary Jo - in the OSU History of Science program. In this interview, Nye reflects on his scholarly work; his affiliation with OSU, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Oklahoma; and the programming that he and Mary Jo led while directing the Horning endowment.
