Andy Landforce (b. 1917) graduated from Oregon State College in 1942, serving as student body president his senior year. A World War II veteran, Landforce enjoyed a long career at Oregon State University, first as a County Extension Agent and later as a Wildlife Management Specialist. He also worked for an additional fifteen years in retirement as a professional fishing guide.
In this interview - the second of two devoted to his military service during World War II - Landforce provides further detail on his unit's support role during the Battle of the Bulge. From there he discusses his company's movement into the Pacific theatre, including movement ashore in the Philippines and preparations for landing in Japan. The remainder of the interview is devoted to the conclusion of the war, Landforce's discharge from the armed forces and his return to civilian life.
