OSU came from behind to defeat Arizona in dramatic fashion, kicking a short field goal on the last play of the game to secure a vital road win by a score of 19-17. Wide receiver James Rodgers rushed for over one-hundred yards in the win, while fellow wide receiver Sammie Stroughter caught five passes for 116 yards, including a crucial 47-yard grab with 39 seconds left in the game. The Beavers finished the year with a record of 8-4, defeating Pittsburgh in the Sun Bowl on December 31, 2008.
