In this webinar, we shared three policy briefs focused on understanding multilingual students’ experiences in Oregon schools. We discussed the insights Oregon has gained from analyzing data about current, former, ever, and never English learners. We also shared research about how long students need to exit EL services and factors that affect these timeframes. Finally, we presented findings about ELs’ access to core content courses in high school. For each topic, we discussed ways findings have impacted policy and practice and reflect on additional action steps needed. The policy briefs referenced in this webinar are available at:
