Alicia Hicks is the Quality Assurance Assistant Manager at Deschutes Brewing. In her interview, Hicks talks about moving around a lot as a child, her family relationships, and her early interest in science and Math. She also talks about her schooling at the University of Washington as a Microbiology major and her work in a campus lab after graduation. After leaving the lab, she was hired as a brewing chemist at Rainier Brewing, and then moved to Bend to take a job at Deschutes. She shares her early memories of the job and company, how both have changed in her 20 years with the company, and how the expansion of the company has impacted her work (e.g. packaging line, new equipment, change in facilities). The interview concludes with Hicks sharing her favorite memories of Deschutes and her favorite beer.
