On this day, OSU beat the Ducks 30-28 in a tense game that came down to the wire. The Beavers were led in part by their kicker, Alexis Serna, who hit field goals from distances of 49-yards, 50-yards and, with 1:13 left in the game, a 40-yarder that proved to be the difference in the score. OSU sealed the win by blocking the Ducks' 44-yard field goal attempt with 20 seconds to go. OSU finished this season with a record of 10-4, defeating Missouri in the Sun Bowl on December 29, 2006.
