The Alderman Farms were founded in 1847 in Yamhill County, and peaked in the late 1950s with at least 3,100 acres under cultivation in Yamhill, Benton, Linn, Marion and Klamath Counties. The Alderman Farm films were made by Urie Alderman, an Oregon Agricultural College alum and the grandson of Alderman Farms founder, Albert Alderman.
